Our Stories & Testimonies
These stories are relevant examples of how the Lord is working in and through devastating circumstances, impacting the world through the Gospel, for His Kingdom.
The least of these
After almost four decades of ministry, I find myself increasingly drawn to hurting people in hard places—to the forgotten, the rejected, the suffering, the refugee, the soldier, the widow, and the child. Somehow, in their brokenness, I seem to find a deeper sense of Jesus' presence.
The other side.
Returning to Vinnytsia, Ukraine, I found hope and resilience even amid daily sirens and uncertainty. The church we helped plant years ago welcomed me back with hugs and tears. It is feeling like home. Ukraine is in a 5 year storm, so I taught on dealing with the storms of life from Mark 5. Then, as I spend more time with students, and as I think about the Hope Center vision, I see a light that will shine in the darkness.
Here I am, send me
The need in Ukraine is desperate. Soldiers are wounded, families are exhausted, and hospitals are overwhelmed—but God is opening doors for the church to serve. In the middle of it all, I keep hearing the words of Isaiah: “Here am I. Send me.”
Day 4 • Harvest Camp: “God Surrounds Us”
Day four was the last day of the 2026 Harvest Camp. What a day, and what a camp. We are grateful, for all of the help and support, parents and campers, who have made this a great event for the last 26 years.
Day 3 • Harvest Camp: “God is our Rock”
It is day three at Harvest Camp. Today we are thankful for the sun and warm weather, great forts, amazing pool time, crafts and books stations. IT IS GREAT TO BE AT HARVEST CAMP
Day 2 • Harvest Camp: “Climb Higher.”
What do mountain kids do when it rains at Harvest Camp? They go outside, play in the playground, build forts and of course go swimming. WHAT A GREAT day at Harvest Camp!
Day 1 • Harvest Camp: “Look Up.”
It was a great first day at Harvest Camp, as we “look to the mountains.” Make sure you check out the videos and pictures, and check back each day for a new update.
The Land of the Living
Being on the front lines of a war changes everything. Especially your perspective on life, ministry, and what truly matters. Family, home, relationships, community, and His Kingdom.
The Way to Life
God is making a way, and creating divine partnerships with medical and dental services for the refugees, soldiers, and broken people here in Ukraine. I am completely “blown away” with how he makes a way, when there is no way possible.
Hope in the Everlasting Arms
While traveling the broken roads of Ukraine, I was reminded that just as a father holds his child through a rough journey, God is holding the children of Ukraine through the devastation of war. This post reflects on youth camps, trauma, healing prayer, and the unshakable hope found in the everlasting arms of God.
What Do You See in the Darkness?
We are currently on the way to the east of Ukraine, to minister to the broken and hopeless. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
Preparing to return to Ukraine
Preparing to minister in Ukraine. This time, we will be ministering to soldiers on the frontlines as well as those who have been wounded by the war.
